Purpose:
The Site Mentor leads and mentors the site team in the areas of fleet, landscaping, maintenance, and security. This role ensures the smooth and cost-effective operation of site services while upholding LIV Lanseria’s values. The Site Mentor drives project planning and team performance, enforces safety standards, and fosters a spiritually supportive environment across the property.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategic Planning:
• Provide Christ-centred leadership to supervisors in fleet, landscaping, maintenance, and security.
• Develop and manage the annual budget for site operations and procurement.
• Ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget.
• Promote excellence, teamwork, and spiritual development in the team.
• Align all operations with village-wide goals and safety standards.
Operational Oversight:
• Oversee daily operations in all site departments.
• Conduct weekly site cluster meetings and contribute to SASCOM forums.
• Offer technical guidance and ensure compliance with safety and construction norms.
• Monitor site security and manage response to concerns or irregularities.
• Support volunteer workdays and inter-departmental collaboration.
Administration:
• Manage wages, leave tracking, and disciplinary processes.
• Conduct quarterly performance reviews for supervisors.
• Maintain accurate inventories of tools and equipment.
Spiritual & Personal Development:
• Mentor the site team spiritually and practically.
• Facilitate team devotions and development workshops.
• Participate in broader village spiritual and community activities.
Minimum Requirements:
• Matric (Grade 12) or higher.
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years in site or facilities management.
• Proven leadership and team mentoring experience.
• Strong administrative and coordination skills.
• Construction or technical knowledge is advantageous.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Spiritually mature, professional, and team-oriented.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to move across the entire terrain of the LIV Lanseria property and actively participate in the physical demands associated with site and maintenance work.
Work Hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Occasional evenings and weekends as required
