MAKING AN IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITY
OF LANGKLOOF
LIV Langkloof was birthed from the heart of the Father to respond to the need in the community and care for abandoned, abused, neglected, orphaned and homeless children. Our dream is to be a place of safety for children in need, but to also provide education, holistic care, counselling, relief and community upliftment to restore and transform lives.
Our first home is a safe place to five children, placed in our care through the help of our social partners at the Department of Social Development. We also host outreach programmes for sport and visiting the elderly through our operational team. The overall workings of LIV Langkloof is governed by a Board of Directors.
We are trusting for future plans to come to life by purchasing our current venue and adjacent land in the Langkloof where we can establish a village with multiple houses and an Early Childhood Development facility.

At LIV Langkloof, we believe in the strength of community. We are working hand in hand with the Department of Social Development that did a social audit, and concluded that the area needs a place of safety. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

OUR COMMUNITY
We currently have five children in our care where they are nurtured in a family environment with a foster mother to love them and all their needs are met.
Our children also attend school at our on-site ECD where a trained teacher is helping them prepare for primary school.

THROUGH OUTREACH
PROGRAMMES
Through our weekly sports clinic in the nearby Ravinia community, we aim to foster relationships and dismantle barriers. Here we are able to speak into the lives of 40-60 young people. Sport is our tool to connect and build a relationship with the community
Twice a week, our ministry team also visit Huis Formosa, a home for the elderly and frail in the area. We see this as an important opportunity for our children to interact with the elderly and warm their hearts.
