Our teenage boys had the amazing opportunity to go to Cape Town over their December holidays and take part in a discipleship camp called GoMad (short for Go and Make Disciples). This was the first time for all four boys to travel through South Africa and see the ocean, their faces were filled with so much excitement at the first sight of the sea.

The couple who run the camp have a heart for impacting young men and showing them what it means to be good men who fear God. Part of the time at the camp required the boys to spend time looking deeply into scriptures and discovering what God has spoken about their identity. The boys got to do many fun activities such as hiking, bodysurfing, woodwork, building puzzles, and sightseeing. It was a great time of connection for the boys and we have seen them grow closer to one another. One of the boys who went did not know how to swim but on the last day there, after persevering and conquering his fears, he was able to teach the younger boys how to swim.

We believe that part of raising young men into leaders is exposing them to different places and people and calling them out of their comfort zones to conquer and overcome their fears. We are proud of the boys and believe they have bright futures ahead!
