As a child I was full of energy. As soon as I could walk, I started running. I remember my family paying me to keep still on many occasions. Like many athletes my running career started on the cross country field in primary school.

There is a vital link between education and nutrition at our LIV Cape Town ECD Centre. Here we provide balanced meals four times a day to enhance the well-being, behaviour, and concentration of our learners – made possible by our partnership with SPAR Western Cape.
In early March 2023 some of our board members met with Ms Yandiswa Vara the Mayor of Makana, and the Municipal Manager Mr Pumelelo Kate to discuss the proposed LIV Lukhanyiso village. We are very pleased to say that it was a positive meeting.
Phamela and her husband came to the new LIV Cape Town ECD to enroll their daughter, Naledi. In speaking to them I learned that they have 4 children. I asked about work and both responded that they are unemployed. Her husband was retrenched at the end of 2022 and Phamela struggled to find work despite having a Matric qualification and a Driver’s Licence.
