Position Type: Full-Time – 1 Year contract
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Do you have experience working in foster care settings? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and guidance to foster carers and the children in their care.
- Conduct regular assessments and develop care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the well-being of children.
- Advocate for the best interests of the children in legal and educational settings.
- Facilitate training and support groups for foster carers.
- Monitor and report on the progress and welfare of children in foster homes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Social Work or related field.
- Registration with South African Counsel for Social Services professional persons (SACSSP).
- Proven experience in foster care, preferably within community homes.
- Strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
