Nolwazi is one of our release students and we are very proud of the kind and creative young woman she has grown to become. We recently asked her about her time at LIV and what she is doing now.

“Hi I am Nolwazi Majola and I finished grade 12 at LIV School last year. I stay in house 67 with Mum Nombuso and my 5 sisters. The LIV family has given me so many opportunities including travelling to different places with the LIV choir, and even going to Israel last year in July with my basketball, for the Peace Players friendship games. I am so grateful for what I have learned in my time at LIV, especially learning about God and having space for my own faith to grow.
This year I have started studying at Carlton hair studios doing a 3-year internship learning about hair and beauty. Currently, I am learning about colouring hair, and how to mix colour.
We started the internship doing a lot of theory, which has got me excited for the practical side and putting what I have learnt into practice. As well as doing the internship I am working at Carlton, and it has shown me how much I love working with people and being in a sociable, friendly environment. My dream is to one day open my own business, because I would love to have my own hair and beauty studio. I think getting your hair done can be a relaxing and fun experience and I love the idea of providing that service for people while doing something I love.”
