LIV has partnered with various companies to form a Culinary School and a Welding Academy for the unemployed members of our local community. Successful graduates are employable when they leave, providing them with a new hope and future.
LIV Training is an initiative to uplift local communities through skills development and employment. Partnering with various companies will enable us to embark on the Training and Skills Development phase of LIV – to rescue, restore, raise and release community members who are unemployed and unskilled. This training will enable successful graduates to be employable when they leave, providing them with a new hope and a future.
LIV Culinary School was launched in 2016 with a training kitchen that can accommodate up to 10 students who are given a solid academic background coupled with intensive practical training courses. We are planning to change over to the three year QCTO NQF Level 5 Chef Diploma.
LIV Welding Academy, in association with Afrox, was launched in 2017 and is CHIETA accredited with the QCTO accreditation nearing completion. Our first group of 12 students have the opportunity to complete the three year QCTO NQF Level 4 Welder Apprenticeship in our fully equipped centre.
In the near future, LIV will launch a Computer End User Training Course, Adult Education and Training (AET) and a Vegetable Production Course.
