LIV School is a registered Independent School comprising an Early Child Development (ECD) Centre, Primary School, and a Secondary School. LIV School establishes a level of excellence in education with the aim of creating an excitement and love of learning in each individual child so that they may develop confidence, self-worth, self-discipline and a sound work ethic. Children of LIV school are guided towards independence by being responsible for their own decisions and the consequences whilst also being trained in entrepreneurial skills and use of information technology; making their skills applicable to a working environment. Our mission is to provide a loving, nurturing and secure environment offering a challenging and relevant curriculum which will allow many of our children who have, for a number of reasons, missed out on significant building blocks to be able to catch up and thrive.
LIV School is continually aiming to expand the extra mural curriculum, attempting to expose children to a greater variety of sports, drama and vocational subjects or hobbies. An exciting development has been the entry of a senior soccer and netball team in the local Verulam and Cottonlands League. This is essential experience for the LIV children to be able to rub shoulders with the pupils of the local community and experience an external, stimulating environment, whilst at the same time reminding them of how fortunate they are with the facilities and equipment available to them at LIV.
Considerable time, effort and planning have gone into providing a balanced, meaningful and relevant Life Skills programme. Various programmes such as swimming, tennis, lifesaving, surfing, biathlon lessons along with other choir activities have been introduces to provide the children with a varied and fun curriculum.
The need for adequate transportation is one that needs to be addressed as the school expands its curriculum and grows in numbers.
