Minimum requirements:
Job Requirements (including minimum Qualifications & Experience):
- Degree in Finance/Accounting
- Completion of financial articles with a recognised professional body (such as SAICA or SAIPA) or experience working as a finance manager for 5 or more years.
- Proficiency in Pastel would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- A multitasker with the ability to wear many hats in a limited resource environment
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the vision of LIV
Basic Duties:
We are looking for a reliable Financial Manager that will manage one team member and manage every-day financial activities across entities and subsequently provide recommendations and guidance to upper management on current financial affairs and future financial plans.
- Prepare and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to internal management and external stakeholders; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all project segments, and oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting.
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary.
- Manage company budget, cash flow and forecasting.
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to, and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.
- Manage the financial control environment to ensure sufficient internal controls are in place in all financial processes and business processes. Where gaps are identified work with the rest of the team to implement the controls needed to ensure good financial controls are in place.
- Manage the finance team for the entities within LIV Business while reporting to the Directors and leadership team of LIV Business
