Like “peanut butter and jam,” or “movies and popcorn,” we are now happy to say that “cake and kids” go together. And not just any cake. Chateau Gateaux Cake!
At LIV Village we understand the importance of finding partners to build lasting relationships with and we feel privileged to start such a journey with Chateau Gateaux.
We were introduced to Chateau Gateaux during the build up to Mandela Day as they were looking to give back to the local community. It was easy to see they had the same heart for our children as we did. For Mandela Day they joined hands with “Secret Sunrise” and brought some of their biggest suppliers, some of their most adventurous staff and some of their best friends to celebrate, dance and enjoy a morning of laughter with our children. They also sponsored a voucher for a slice of cake and a cup of coffee for every person who joined in on the “Secret Sunrise : LIV More”-day.
It didn’t end there! On the morning of the “Secret Sunrise,” we were blessed with over 500 slices of cake for the village. Cake that were given to our children and the wonderfully strong women in and around our community as we celebrated woman’s day on the 9th of August. The LIV mothers were also honoured with a visit to Chateau Gateaux’s Gateway and Durban North stores to enjoy coffee and cake.
As we look back on these past few months, we do so with such joy in our hearts. LIV Village is so grateful to Anna and the team at Gateau Gateaux for choosing us, our children and our community.
