Bike Coach Position (Fixed Term 9 months)
Applicants should:
- Be willing to support the Christian ethos of the school and character and share in the vision of LIV Village.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in English (speak, read, and write).
Minimum requirements:
- Job Requirements (including min Qualifications & Experience):
Required
- Grade 10 or above inc. English and Maths
- Ability to competently ride a bike off road
- Understanding of bikes and bike parts
Desired
- Sports coaching experience with young people
- Bike maintenance knowledge/qualification
Basic Duties:
- To perform basic maintenance on all LIV 2 Ride bikes. Reporting all maintenance and passing on larger faults to HOD.
- Keeping track of stock and report to HOD when items are low
- Coaching all school ages bike lessons both on flat ground and on trials
- Producing termly coaching plans to progress children in cycling skills
- Supporting ECD Bikes on a Thursday morning.
- Fortnightly line manager meeting with Head of LIV 2 Ride
- Keeping workshop and LIV 2 Ride house clean and tidy
- Any other duties for LIV 2 Ride that are needed from time to time.
Start Date: ASAP.
