So much has been happening at the horses.
We have found that God is calling the children that really battle to connect with Him, people, and children who need another avenue to find their healing, to the horses. God is using these animals to help them to focus on Him, then to connect with Him and finally to yield to Him. As they do this, they start to see His true nature and then begin to trust Him and see his methods of transforming us. This is the foundation of what He is showing me to teach them…..once they get this, the lessons are endless!
While working with the horses, God has been using each horse to represent an individual person or personality type….we had fun the other day with the LIV4CHANGE students, they asked me to describe each horses personality and it was amazing to see how most of them could identify with a horse. Not only could they see themselves as in a mirror but God took it further to show them where they are spiritually and what He was saying to them and wanting from them personally.
One of the important revelations God is revealing to many of the LIV4CHANGE students is helping some of them to see animals through different eyes, to see that God has created them for us to love, protect, understand and connect with and once all ignorance, hate and fear leave, we gain the authority and dominion over them (but we can only have that authority if we love them as God does), and once in this place of authority, we can establish true connection and relationship with any creature on this earth.
Smartie, our village dog, has also taken his liking to the horse stables. We rescued Smartie as a baby from Cottonlands when he was 4 weeks old and now at 3 months, has really become part of the furniture at the stables. He gets visitors everyday straight after school and he plays non stop with the children till bed time! Smartie is extremely clever and can now do many tricks not only when I say the command but he listens to the children too! He knows his home is the stables and he has his own little routine. He is part of the family and God is using him in many ways to help children learn about his love, responsibility, keeping calm, being gentle and just learning to love Gods creatures and see animals through new eyes. A big thank you to Jerry who has put up a fence to make a little garden for Smartie to stop his rendezvous around the village! Smartie has taught many of the kids how to behave around dogs, I am often having to teach them to be quieter and gentler around Smartie as he picks up on their energy very quickly. Children like Zizi and Thabiso who are visiting Smartie daily see this and are both learning to quiet themselves when with him to keep him calm….a great lesson to learn at their age……shifting atmospheres!
