The Change Project

Statistics reveal that there are over 50 million children in Africa that are parentless. 3.5 million children in South Africa are orphaned and more than 12 500 children are orphaned monthly.

We want these children to grow up to be a generation that will influence positive change within South Africa, our continent and indeed the world. If these children are equipped with the essential moral values and life skills, they truly can live lives that will influence and inspire significance and have a lasting impact.

Lungisisa Indlela Village (LIV) provides holistic residential care for orphans and vulnerable children. We place parentless children into a nurturing family environment where they receive unconditional love, care, and spiritual discipleship. Mothers and children have moved into the first village that has been built 8km outside Verulam in KwaZulu Natal.

LIV is about change on a large scale and if we are going to place a roof over every vulnerable and orphaned child’s head, give them a mother who loves them, feed them and educate them to the glory of God, we are going to need every person to get involved and play their role in impacting this generation.

It is against this background that LIV has launched a campaign to raise funds to fulfill this vision of caring for every vulnerable and orphaned child in the nation. The Change Project encourages the children “who have” to give to the vulnerable children “who do not have”.

Change a life

The Change Project is aimed at schools whereby children are encouraged to give R10.00 on a monthly basis towards this. We aim to encourage this generation of children to look after those less fortunate than themselves. This will teach our children to be a caring and giving generation.
