A couple of weeks ago we had the privilege of presenting LIV to the KZN Provincial Cabinet. I took Wes Smith (who heads up LIV Business) and Karoba Makwape (a director on the LIV Business Board) with me to this meeting in Pietermaritzburg. The Premier introduced his cabinet to us and then Busisiwe Kuzwayo, from the Premier’s office introduced the LIV team to the cabinet.
I then had the amazing opportunity to share the LIV vision with the MEC’s, and told them that the church was the catalyst to bring Government and business together and the LIV project is the perfect project to do this. We gave them a visual presentation of what has transpired over the last 15 months, and then Wes was able to lay out the plans for LIV Business (Pty) Ltd. The presentation was well received and when the Premier asked his cabinet if they had any questions that they would like to ask, there were no questions, but a number of the MEC’s said how thankful they were that LIV had started such a meaningful project and that they would support the LIV/Government partnership 100%.
We have subsequently had some very good meetings with the various departments, and look forward to a fruitful relationship with Government and the private sector, as we link hands in our endeavours to look after every orphan and vulnerable child in KZN, and hopefully the country. It was an amazing experience for the three of us, and we thank our God for His amazing favour. All things are possible in Christ Jesus.
Elliott, our new village manager and pastor, along with his family, Dolly, Gracie and Elijah, moved into their new home on the village on Tuesday, and are settling in very well. They are a very special family and we thank God for His faithfulness. When we purchased the farm, He said that, “He would bring the expertise and the finances.” We marvel at His provision on a daily basis, and the quality of people He is bringing to LIV. We serve a wonderful God, thank you Jesus.
TOGETHER WE CAN
