The last of the tables / seats are being taken up.
Our desire is to see every seat filled of the 400 tables as we, Durbanites, shake off the reputation of being the “sleepy province” and prepare to rise to the challenge to transform the lives of thousands of vulnerable children in our province.
YES WE CAN! 7th April at the ICC. BE THERE!
Business – churches – government – sporting bodies are coming together to get on board, and set a presedence for our nation as we prepare to role out the first of many villages.

Farm Update
The farm is being made ready for the bulldozers to move on site. The electric fence is going up, this week, around the proposed residential area for the first seven clusters, the storehouse, school, clinic and teachers’ accommodation. We have bartered with Don Spiers of Conrite Fencing to swop his fence for an unused chicken shed! Thank you Don!
New people have joined the farm
We welcome our new farm manager, Errol Coetzee, whose ‘jack-of-all-trades’ skills include farming, and all types of maintenance – fixing a tractor, plumbing, electricity, and in between encouraging our little 7 year old ‘Yobi’ to learn how to speak..
Angela, our resident mom, has been asked to foster a two year old little girl through the social welfare department. Her mom is being treated in the TB hospital. She is loving the farm and her new ‘siblings’!
Twiggy Baker visits the farm
Big wave rider, Grant ‘Twiggy’ Baker came to visit the farm and spent some time with the boys, playing soccer. We’re glad to have some of that on film now. As we know, Twiggy is passionate about South Africa and promotes our country all around the world. He has ‘adopted’ the vision for these villages and making a difference in these young lives.
John Smit, who will be sharing his heart at the banquet, has also caught the vision, along with many of the Sharks. (Maybe it will inspire them on the rugby field?).
See you at the banquet.
Tich and Joan

I attended the banquet last night and was absolutely astounded at the amount of people attending. I had a number of tearful moments as the pain and suffering of children without parents was made so clear and realisation that those of us who have parents that loved and cared for us were are so blessed. I had no idea it was going to be so huge. My faith in humanity has been restored to see so many people caring about our children and the future of our country. I hope and pray that as each one of us left the hall last night, and those that could not attend but want to be a part of something wonderful and help in whatever way they can, that a commitment is made and honored. Every contribution is going to help see this village materialize into a reality and be the first of many villages to follow. Our orphaned children are the responsibility of each and every one of us as their suffering will be our suffering and the suffering of our children. WELL DONE to everyone who put such a fantastic function together.
I feel that this is a very positive step towards getting our children off of the street and into our hearts. We are so small trying to do it ourselves, but through Christ Jesus we will be able to do so much more.
